Training horses is an everyday and all day lifestyle for Rick Gaudreault. The majority of his training involves giving young horses a gentle start and solid foundation. However, he applies his techniques to horses of all levels.
Rick is an expert in training horses for both Working Cow Horse and Versatility Ranch Horse competitions.

The Working Cow Horse competition also known as Reined Cow Horse involves a combination of "dry work" or reining and cow work. The horse is judged on it's ability to hold a cow in a set pattern. The Versatility Ranch Horse competition demonstrates the versatility of the working ranch horse in events such as trail, ranch cutting and roping.

Rick believes good training involves instilling confidence in horses. He does expect total respect when working with a horse and knows this is key to a safe and usable horse.
